Much fun to be had. At the moment I think we have like 8 gangs from 5 different factions running around shooting stuff all over the region.

I'm extremely annoyed that this happened the day before I go on vacation.

Long Live the Dictatorship of BAMAR !!!!!!!!!!!!

Men of war have long known that warriors must often abandon those verities they defend. Peace, human kindness, love... for they hold no meaning to the enemy. And so, to win, do we become what we despise... and despise what we become?

Haha, there's truth to this though. Sometimes people ask why Agony is a 1 corp alliance, it's largely to prevent crap like this from happening.

On another note much fun is being had in Providence, we've been largely running from one big fight to the next blowing up everything we can get our hands on.

I logged in about 0800 Eve time, and logged off half an hour ago (0145 Eve time)... That's what I make of it, I haven't done that kind of Eve time in a day for over a year.

For those of us at work where the Eve site is blocked (and little to no civilian internet access) what does the link say?

4B-NQN, Providence - A few hours ago, Ushra'Khan [UNITY] lost sovereignty over three systems after corporations were unexpectedly removed from the alliance, it is thought, by a Hydra Reloaded [HYDRA] spy.

In Catch, JWZ2-V, formerly held by Endless Possibilities Inc and UQ-PWD, which was controlled by The Resident Haunting, were both lost, while in Providence, Universal Army's removal cost Ushra'Khan control of 4B-NQN. All told, 15 corporations were removed from Ushra'Khan, with only Unity Holdings and Neh'bu Kau Be'Hude, the executor corporation, being left in the alliance, apparently under control of the Hydra agent.

Ugleb of UNITY said: "As of now, the Ushra'Khan are under hostile control and considered lost."

He believes the traitor to be Tarac Nor, a member of UNITY who has been in the alliance for a year and only recently earned a Head Diplomat role.

Ugleb revealed why he thought Tarac has done it: "Well he is Caldari, I assume [for] ISK."

So far Tarac Nor has not replied to the Interstellar Correspondents' request for an interview. Stay with us as we look to bring further information as we get it.

more U'K nonsense

breaking news: tarac nor reveals reasons behind ushra'khan betrayal
reported by ISD Rhom Windfell | 2010.07.24 15:10:40 | NEW

4B-NQN, Providence - Tarac Nor has spoken for the first time since he was named as the capsuleer behind the Ushra'Khan [UNITY] disbanding.

Speaking exclusively to the Intersteller Correspondents, Tarac Nor stated: "Right now, Ushra'Khan is under new management."

With members of UNITY accusing him of doing it for ISK, Tarac suggested there were other reasons: "The ISK was a big motivation, but I can't say it was the only motive... I was getting bored with the alliance. Very few were active in the executor corporation and I suppose in the end I wanted to see how far things could go. I have to stress though, this wasn't meant to be personal."

Tarac described his action as a natural progression for UNITY as he believes a lot of their good corporations have already left. He did reveal a soft spot for his former UNITY wingmates however: "It will be interesting to see how the [capsuleers] who were left move on. I hope they can move on."

In closing he revealed there was an offer of a position for him for the near future: "I've been presented a position in HYDRA which looks like it could be fun. I think that's all I can really say for now."

HYDRA have previously stated a wish to see Providence restored to CVA, which may seem odd to some, given the two alliances' former hostile status. But the NRDS (Not Red, Don't Shoot) Providence under CVA was regarded by many of the more piratical forces in New Eden as a sort of hunting preserve - an area rich in targets and resources where they were guaranteed to see combat.

CVA's allies are already urging them to shun making any alliance with HYDRA while Ushra'Khan's old allies are changing their standings towards the UNITY ticker - many for the first time in years.

Just to add more information - after the servers came back up many medium-large sized Hydra Friendly fleets started to stream into providence from every possible low-sec entrance.

Agony formed up and started to kill stuff... lots and lots of stuff. (it's our nature)

A quote from Davvol on kugu p19 -

Lots of comments, I haven't had time to actually read them all. Apologies if I go over anything already covered...

First the facts: Tarac Nor has taken control of NKB, the U'K executor corp. 5 minutes before downtime, he made his move and started kicking member corps, and locking them out of stations. Shortly after downtime, he continued with blueing up a number of groups formerly red to U'K, and granting them access to U'K stations.

In the meantime, other provi alliances were notified, and offers of support immediately started coming in. In honesty, so many offers have come in that it would be impossible to name them all, but particular thanks go to Agony and Co2 for their immediate and significant assistance. Within 30 minutes of server coming up, there were reports of fleets from Agony, Co2, -A- and Minmatar militia being mobilized to come and guard both assets and resources, as well as sizable logistics support to assist with getting assets to both safe and operationally viable positions. Aside from a few issues, this was immensely successful, and (from an insiders point of view) was highly impressive in its efficiency. The former U'K corps got into triage mode immediately, and the level of cooperation and common sense was inspiring. There was no drama, no fussing, people just immediately got on with ensuring the securing of our military assets.

In the grand scheme of things, I do not believe this will be a crippling blow to us. We have almost certainly lost the alliance name, but the alliance itself is very much here, and has a level of focus that was quite unexpected. Game timers limit actions to some degree, but with the level of support on offer to us, we have realistic plans of being back to a credible degree of effectiveness in the very near future.

On a personal note, I think this is bit of a low blow, but not the end of the world. It is a shame to see U'K end like this, but then I would rather this is how it went than just running out of steam and fading into nothing...

I think most of agony is going to sleep for a bit... SQA/DIR's doing pvp for 20hrs+ means things are ramped up....

Fun Times... 'cept for the inevitable blues we will have to endure... but lots of Neuts coming in will balance things...
